TACLOBAN CITY– Ashes. Broken walls. Families left with nothing but the clothes on their backs. 

Yesterday, Tacloban City Councilor Marty Romualdez” walked through the burned-out streets of Purok 5, Brgy. 92 Apitong

 not with cameras first, but with help in his hands. 

He came to see the families who lost their homes to fire. Face to face. Name to name. 

Immediate Relief, No Delays:

As initial aid, Councilor Marty delivered essential relief items to residents who suddenly had nothing. 

The packages included: 

hygiene kits, blankets, pails, assorted canned goods, tarpaulins, and rice— the basics to survive the first nights after losing everything. 

_“In times of trial, every Taclobanon must feel that they are not alone,”_ Councilor Marty said. _“We will keep helping each other so every affected family can rise again.” He stressed

Doors Open, Help Continues:

According to Councilor Marty, his office remains on standby for families still recovering from the incident. 

His office is open for those who still need additional support and urgent assistance as they begin to rebuild their lives from scratch. 

The Office of Councilor Marty Romualdez continues to call for unity and compassion for fellow Taclobanons affected by the fire. 

Because when one home burns, the whole city should feel the heat — and respond with heart.
